We are very happy with the results of the Council Special Meeting on December 9th! Our interim urgency ordinance was passed by the Council 5-0 and we have a public workshop coming up next week, Wednesday the 16th. Please join us if you are interested in participating, or just listening, to an informational and working meeting. Thank you again to all of those who contributed to this success.

Below is a message regarding the workshop from City of Malibu's Principal Planner, Adrian Fernandez:

The City is updating its Wireless Communication Facility Ordinance and is holding a series of virtual public outreach meetings including a workshop, review by the City Council Zoning Ordinance Revisions and Code Enforcement City Council Subcommittee, and hearings before the Planning Commission and City Council.

All community members are invited to attend the meetings to learn about the proposed updates and give their input on the desired outcomes.

The first meeting is a virtual public workshop on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 6:00 PM to provide an overview of the existing City Ordinance, federal and state regulatory frameworks related to wireless issues, and the basics of wireless communication facilities.

If you are unable to attend  the meeting, you can watch it later on-demand on the City’s website at MalibuCity.org/VirtualMeeting.

Public comment may also be submitted by email to afernandez@malibucity.org.
